Patrick Mbatha - August 2012
He is general manager at Joe Soap and is responsible for managing supplies, deliveries, receiving and manufacturing. The best part of his job is engaging with suppliers and negotiating the best prices.
As part of his fleet management profile he is responsible for tracking the delivery trucks using a web-based GPS tracking system to ensure that deliveries run smoothly and efficiently.
Mcebisi is in the packing department, he works on getting the big orders onto the trucks and out.
Cecilia’s responsibilities include opening new accounts, checking invoices before they go out, dealing with creditors.
Thokozane is a general worker at Joe Soap, pulling stock for the bay and making sure the drivers have what they need. Sticking stickers is also his responsibility.
Cowboy is one of the longest serving members of the team, he pulls off 25 deliveries each day.
Michael is responsible for receiving orders, creating invoices and converting these into itemized delivery notes, so that the drivers know what they need to pull for a particular order.
Tommy is the intermediary between the workers at Joe Soap and management, and is also the person the clients speak to if they're unhappy with the way an order has been filled.
Simon is responsible for the installation and maintenance of a little machine attached to industrial dishwashers. This device calculates and dispenses just the right amount of dishwashing liquid.
Sanele's main responsibilities include decanting Joe’s soaps from the mixing tanks into 5 litre containers.
Mapen is well aware of the responsibility he carries as a packer and checker, the smooth running of the delivery to clients depends on their orders being filled correctly and dispatched on time.
Prosper drives a one ton truck making between 11 and 22 deliveries every
day. His day starts at 08h00. He collects his invoices and then pulls
stock from the warehouse to load onto the trucks.
Abel plays a key role in the smooth running of the workshop and the management of 15 workshop staff, along with staff safety and human resources.
